Ciara Considine - Musical Director
Ciara gained a Masters Degree in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music where she also gained her Bachelors Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in the Piano. Performing solo recitals and chamber music in the North West, she also spent 12 years teaching the piano, flute and singing in Manchester.
She took a break from teaching to be the solo artist of a CD of Irish folk songs, singing and playing all 8 instruments involved. Receiving good reviews and radio-play, the album 'O Mo Chroi' is selling well on all the major online distributors such as iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody. Following this success she has now released her 2nd album titled 'Beyond The Waves'. Ciara recently recorded flutes at Abbey Road Studios with the new musical '1916' set to hit the West End in 2012.
Ciara grew up in Kent and gained a County Scholarship with the Kent Music School to study the flute and piano. She toured Brazil and Argentina with the Kent Youth Orchestra and was a member of the Kent Youth Choir. She was selected to join the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, touring the US, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. She works with the Kent Choirs and teaches singing at Benenden School and is delighted to be working with the Vigo Singers from September 2009.
