Ciara Considine - Musical Director

 CiaraConsidine Ciara gained a Masters Degree in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music where she also gained her Bachelors Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in the Piano. Performing solo recitals and chamber music in the North West, she also spent 12 years teaching the piano, flute and singing in Manchester.

She took a break from teaching to be the solo artist of a CD of Irish folk songs, singing and playing all 8 instruments involved. Receiving good reviews and radio-play, the album 'O Mo Chroi' is selling well on all the major online distributors such as iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody. Following this success she has now released her 2nd album titled 'Beyond The Waves'. Ciara recently recorded flutes at Abbey Road Studios with the new musical '1916' set to hit the West End in 2012.

Ciara grew up in Kent and gained a County Scholarship with the Kent Music School to study the flute and piano. She toured Brazil and Argentina with the Kent Youth Orchestra and was a member of the Kent Youth Choir. She was selected to join the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, touring the US, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. She works with the Kent Choirs and teaches singing at Benenden School and is delighted to be working with the Vigo Singers from September 2009.

Elizabeth Veglio - Accompanist

Elizabeth Veglio Lizzie was born and raised in Wales and started piano lessons at the age of four. Her studies were at the Welsh College of Music and Drama with the late Alun Hoddinot and Anthony Lewis. She has been involved, as a singer, almost all of her life in choirs including The Orpington Chorale under the late Sheila Mossman and a hefty spell with the English Baroque Choir.

Lizzie enjoyed ten years as organist at Aylesford Priory and is currently organist and choir trainer at two local churches and, of course, now working with Vigo Singers


Elizabeth Clark - Musical Director to July 2009

Elizabeth Clark Elizabeth attended the Royal academy of Music for four years where she studied singing with Olive Groves. She has performed as a soloist in many operas, operettas, oratorios and recitals. Elizabeth recently retired from Kent Music School ,after seventeen years, where she taught singing and was vocal coach to the Kent Junior Singers, Junior Choir and Kent Girls Choir. She co-conducted the Junior Singers and, over the past few years, the Kent Girls Choir.

Elizabeth retires from the Vigo Singers having first established the choir in 1995. She is looking forward to spending more time with her three children and grandchildren who live in Cornwall, France and New Zealand.

Elizabeth was Vigo Singers' founder musical director and conducted the choir until July 2009
